After 21 years of anonymity we’re back to document the punk band we had in the early ‘80s.
The painfully slow gestation of this website has taken 2 years but is worth it we think, unless that is :- you hated us back then and still do, or you’ve stumbled across this site whilst Googling for the “other” Atrox(es) or some other weird reason. Either way, tough.
This website may eventually cover all the info and pictures we can lay our hands on, as long as it’s scan-able and relevant. At the moment it’s work-in-progress and will be updated from time to time. If you have any photos, flyers, or live tapes of STTS/Atrox, please get in touch.
Me & the band played in Dorchester a couple weeks ago and it was nice to see some of the “old” punx there…..John O’Webb, Russ Rado, Kev Holbrook…to name a few.

The new ZOUNDS LP/CD is very good…..only taken 30 years for Mr Lake to follow up the curse of sounds…I’d recommend the new CD!

If anyone is interested….I expect a lot have been put off by all the crap appearing on here lately though……I now have the first SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM demo (& live trax) converted to CD (with help from Mr Andy Rendall). If anyone would like a copy then drop me a line via Charlie.

For south coasters here is a recently rediscovered Totton band (I played my part in the detective work) who absolutely ripped back in the late 70s. Listen to Lovers Of Noise here.

Never has the old adage “if they’d had a record out back then it’ be considered a classic now” been more apt. Detour records are apparently working on reissuing the studio recordings.
On another note – another Soton/Pompey area band from the late 70s was Lip Moves – Paul Chambers sent me a link to their 7” “Guest”….can’t seem to find it now but it seems to be available here – http://mp3.rapidlibrary.com/mp3.php?file=1019174&song=guest. . Seems to have been a hit in Wareham in the early 80s!

There’s no new plan to reissue the demos yet…..the moment sort of passed. We did have an offer from a US label but that fell through.
